How did Indy Creation Fest get started?
A few years ago, a group of pastors and church members from a few central Indiana churches got together to talk about ways our churches could get more involved in caring for the earth. We were brought together by the Evangelical Environmental Network, a ministry that mobilizes Christians in their effort to care for God’s creation. In 2021 a vision was born to create an event that would bring even more people together to create community, share ideas, and spark action, and we eventually settled on an annual one-day event that we named Indy Creation Fest.
What is in store for Indy Creation Fest in the future?
Great question! The planning team is already thinking about what we can do to make Creation Fest even better in 2024! We have dreams of one day having workshops, yoga, live music, and so much more! But like everything else we do, we want to grow sustainably and take things one step at a time.
